Claire & Mason traveled all the way from Florida with their beautiful newborn son to visit family in Charleston, West Virginia for a few weeks at which time we decided was perfect to also do their engagement photos! Originally we had planned their session for earlier in the week but due to a 100% chance of rain, we thought it best to reschedule. Thankfully we were able to do that within the time they were still visiting and the weather for our new session was incredible! We started our session on Capitol St. where downtown Charleston is always buzzing. The architecture and streets created a beautiful backdrop for these photos. We headed toward the bridge by the carriage trail for wonderful views of the city and the waterfront. Overall we could not have asked for a more prefect session.

The New River Gorge National Park is now the newest National Park in the United States. It was first established as a National River in 1978 but since has upgraded its status to National Park in 2020. I live right in the heart of this beautiful place and it’s my absolute favorite thing to photograph weddings, elopements, and engagements in this area. The New River Gorge has become of the most visited places in the United States and a huge destination location for couples. Tricia & Samson were so much fun to work with and photograph for their evening engagement session at the gorgeous Endless Wall Trail. We had perfect warm weather and clear skies for their session, making hiking and posing such a breeze. We stopped along the trail, grabbing photos on our way to Diamond Point. An outfit change and a little more hiking, we make it to Diamond Point and to our surprise and luck, it was just us at the overlook! (Super strange for a Saturday evening with great weather!) We finished up at Diamond Point with stunning views and amazing photos for this couple’s engagement session. I absolutely cannot wait for their upcoming October wedding this year at the Confluence Resort!

Mary Kate and Luke traveled all the way from Alabama to have their engagement photos taken at the stunning New River Gorge, located in Fayetteville, West Virginia. We started hiking, taking photos along the way amongst the hemlock grove and growing rhododendron. An outfit change and moments later we make it to our first overlook where we grabbed some amazing photos. Next, we headed to Diamond Point, one of my favorite overlooks at Endless Wall. You can’t beat these views! The gorge, river, and beautiful changing foliage made this session perfect. We grabbed some more awesome photos of Mary Kate & Luke at Diamond Point which completed this wonderful evening.
