Bridge Buttress Engagement Photos | Fayetteville, WV Photographer | Quinn & Michael
Quinn & Michael are actually some good friends of mine that were visiting me and my roommates in Fayetteville, West Virginia. I asked them if they would be my models for the evening and they agreed! We hiked up to one of my favorite overlooks of the New River Gorge Bridge and took some amazing shots with this wonderful couple. Here are the results!
Endless Wall Engagement Photos | Fayetteville, WV Photographer | Emma & Matt
Matt and Emma were a joy to work with for their sunrise engagement session at the New River Gorge. I first talked with this couple around the end of 2020 and we connected instantly. I could tell from their laid back personalities and the love that they shared for each other, their engagement and wedding day was going to be epic. After much deliberation, we finally decided on a sunrise session at Endless Wall Trail in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The week before their engagement session we all were watching the weather like crazy since rain was in the forecast for that Sunday morning. The day before, I checked the weather report again and it finally showed no rain for 7:00am on Sunday and I was ecstatic. I woke up at 5:30am to get ready for Emma & Matt’s session and my drive over to Endless Wall was very foggy so I was a little concerned it would be all fog at the overlook. We met up and began our hike in, taking photos along the way. Once we made it to the Diamond Point overlook, half of the scenery was a wall of fog but the other side was only New River Gorge views which worked out great! The foggy background made some magical photos and we still got that awesome gorge view too! I couldn’t have asked for a better morning engagement session with these two. I can’t wait to photograph their West Virginia wedding June 5th!
American Alpine Club Campground Wedding Photos | Fayetteville, WV Photographer | Tricia & Greg
This wedding day began with Trish and Greg getting ready in different locations in the wild and wonderful town of Fayetteville, West Virginia. After getting ready, we headed to the American Alpine Club Campground for the ceremony. The officiant, Jeff, emerged from the wild in a ghillie suit and gave all the wedding guests a good laugh. Trish & Greg spoke their own vows and it was quite an emotional experience. After speaking their vows, they said, “I do!” and tied the knot. After the ceremony we grabbed some awesome portraits of these newlyweds. They even did a little bouldering session at the campground, which created some memorable photos. As we headed to the reception, we stopped at their “Honeymoon Suite” which was Greg’s car set up for some outdoor camping. How special is that?! Next came the reception where these two celebrated all night long!
At Home Elopement | Charleston, WV Photographer | Samantha & Scott
When I had first talked to Sam & Scott, they knew they wanted to get married but with all the uncertainty with COVID-19, they were unsure how to go about it. After talking about if they wanted to wait to have a bigger wedding or just get married now, these two decided to tie the knot sooner rather that later. Sam & Scott planned an at home elopement at their home in Charleston, West Virginia surrounded by their three close friends. They live streamed their wedding ceremony so that their family and friends from all over the United States and other countries could tune in and celebrate with them.
