Claire & Mason traveled all the way from Florida with their beautiful newborn son to visit family in Charleston, West Virginia for a few weeks at which time we decided was perfect to also do their engagement photos! Originally we had planned their session for earlier in the week but due to a 100% chance of rain, we thought it best to reschedule. Thankfully we were able to do that within the time they were still visiting and the weather for our new session was incredible! We started our session on Capitol St. where downtown Charleston is always buzzing. The architecture and streets created a beautiful backdrop for these photos. We headed toward the bridge by the carriage trail for wonderful views of the city and the waterfront. Overall we could not have asked for a more prefect session.

The New River Gorge National Park is now the newest National Park in the United States. It was first established as a National River in 1978 but since has upgraded its status to National Park in 2020. I live right in the heart of this beautiful place and it’s my absolute favorite thing to photograph weddings, elopements, and engagements in this area. The New River Gorge has become of the most visited places in the United States and a huge destination location for couples. Jen & Mark were a pleasure to work with for their engagement photos. After going through a few locations together, Jen & Mark finally decided on Dolly Sods as the place where they wanted their engagement photos taken. We started the session at the Bear Rocks Preserve where we were met with beautiful views and perfect weather. The evergreen trees surrounding the rocky cliffs were one of my favorite things about this location. We explored around, taking photos along the way and the results were amazing.

Quinn & Michael are actually some good friends of mine that were visiting me and my roommates in Fayetteville, West Virginia. I asked them if they would be my models for the evening and they agreed! We hiked up to one of my favorite overlooks of the New River Gorge Bridge and took some amazing shots with this wonderful couple. Here are the results!
