Adventures on the Gorge Wedding Photos | Lansing, WV Wedding Photographer | Leah & Robert

Leah & Robert’s wedding day began with Leah and her bridesmaids getting ready at her venue, Adventures on the Gorge. This lovely venue provided a ready room right on site where her beauty vendors met her to set up. AOTG also provided some delicious snacks for these ladies including a charcuterie board and chicken and waffles! While the girls were getting ready, the guys were too just right next door. Robert got ready with his guys and of course, his loyal dog, Lily, After Robert got ready, we grabbed some photos of him and groomsmen all dressed up. I headed back over to the bridal area where Leah was just finalizing her finishing touches. Once finished, we grabbed some bridal party photos and then prepared for the ceremony. The ceremony was held on the wedding deck outside of AOTG’s Smokey’s on the Gorge Restaurant. Everything was set up so beautifully. Robert got to see Leah walk down the aisle for the first time and he had the sweetest reaction. Leah & Robert exchanged their own written vows to each other and before we knew it, they were married! We grabbed lots of family formal photos after the ceremony and got some more wedding party photos as well. Lastly, we headed to AOTG’s bridge view overlook for some bride & groom portraits and it truly did not disappoint. Next came the reception where Leah & Robert celebrated with their family and friends all night and ended the evening with a sparkler exit.

The Summit Bechtel Reserve Wedding Photos | Glen Jean, WV Photographer | Mackenzie & Austin

Mackenzie and Austin’s wedding day began with Mackenzie and her bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. Austin and his groomsmen got ready at the Yamagata Lodge which is the onsite hotel for the Summit Bechtel Reserve. After getting ready, Mackenzie did a very sweet first look with her girls and they had the best reaction to seeing this beautiful bride all done up! Next was a first look with Austin. Mackenzie walked up to Austin who had his back turned to her. Mackenzie then tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around to see her for the first time in all her bridal beauty. They shared a very loving moment together and then we were off to take some wedding party portraits and bride & groom shots. We got some amazing photos with the trees at peak foliage and of course the stunning view provided by the Appalachian mountains and the Summit Bechtel Reserve. The ceremony came next where these two got to exchange their own vows and say “I do” in front of their family and friends. After the ceremony, the newlyweds popped a bottle of champagne with their wedding party and then headed back to the arbor for some family formal photos. Right before the reception, we snagged the couple away for some sunset photos, and boy, they did not disappoint. Next came the reception where Mackenzie & Austin got to celebrate all night long and even ended the night with a sparkler exit.

The Confluence Resort Wedding Photos | Hico, WV Photographer | Tricia & Samson

When I first talked with Tricia and Samson, they originally were planning on getting married in October 2021. After a wonderful little surprise pregnancy, they decided to postpone their wedding until the following year. We waited and planned and then finally the day came for these two to tie the knot! Tricia got ready in the bridal suite with her mom, cousin, some friends, and of course her very cute baby girl. Samson got ready in one of the cabins on the property with his family and his son. After getting ready, instead of having a first look, these two opted for a first touch instead. Samson and Tricia held hands on either side of a tree where they couldn’t see each other and got to read their vows to each other. It was definitely such a special and memorable moment. Next came the ceremony where Samson’s son pulled a cart that carried his little sister in it all the way down the aisle which only put smiles on everyones faces. Soon, Tricia was being walked down the aisle by her father and their were many happy tears from the beautiful bride. Samson himself couldn’t stop smiling as his future wife approached him. These two exchanged loving vows in front of their close friends and family and before we knew it, these two were already heading back up the aisle! Immediately after the ceremony, the newlyweds popped open a champagne bottle in celebration of their new marriage. Next, we got lots of family formal photos as well as portraits of the bride & groom! We got to explore the Confluence property and take portraits in some amazing landscape settings. We headed back to the reception where these two got to have their first dance, followed by the parents dances. The very best speeches were made by both dads, the maid of honor, the best man, and the groom’s brother. Lots of love was shared between everyone at this wedding and was a wonderful thing to witness. The newlyweds and their guests celebrated all night long with lots of dancing, laughs, a sparkler exit, and lastly a last dance with only the bride & groom. This was such a special wedding day and I am so happy to be able to be apart of it!
