Lake at Cedar Hill Wedding Photos | Linville, VA Photographer | Pascale & Matt
Pascale & Matt’s wedding was a long time coming. I initially talked with these two back in early 2020 and they were planning for having their wedding of June 2021. Well, due to COVID and travel restrictions, this couple decided to postpone their wedding. Three years later, we finally got to capture their special day! Pascale & Matt’s wedding began with Pascale getting ready with her ladies in the bridal suite of the venue. After getting ready, Pascale wanted to do a first look with her father before the ceremony. Pascale and her dad had such a sweet relationship and their first look was incredibly touching. Next came the ceremony where there was a little twist. Matt actually played the song that Pascale walked down the aisle to on his violin, creating such a memorable moment for everyone in attendance. The bride & groom exchanged their own loving vows and participated in a sand unity ceremony. They exchanged rings, said “I do.” and finally got to get married in front of their family and friends! After the ceremony, we grabbed some family portraits, wedding party portraits, and of course bride & groom portraits. We headed to the reception where Pascale & Matt had the most unique and beautiful first dance. They then had parent dances and then we moved on to dinner and speeches. It was so sweet to hear all the great stories their friends had to say about the couple during each speech. After some dancing, we stole the newlyweds away for some sunset portraits, and they did not dissapoint. Finally, we let this amazing couple celebrate the rest of the night with their loving guests.
New River Gorge National Park Elopement Photos | Fayetteville, WV Photographer | Chelsea & Brady
Chelsea & Brady decided to elope after 10 years together on May 25th, 2023. The two of them picked a local overlook based in the New River Gorge National Park for their special day. These two exchanged loving vows that they wrote for each other and there were tears (the good kind). After this lovely couple said “I do” we walked around the overlook taking memorable photos. Finally, we headed back to their airbnb where we took a few more photos with their fur baby. It was a gorgeous, wonderful, and loving day for these two and I was so happy to be apart of it.
Dolly Sods Engagement Session | Davis, WV Photographer | Jordan & Quinn
Jordan and Quinn traveled all the way from Colorado to take their engagement photos in the beautiful and magical, Dolly Sods Wilderness in the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia. Having been originally from the area, Jordan and Quinn were quite familiar with Dolly Sods and picked the location because of their love for the wilderness. We met up at the Bear Rocks Preserve in the evening and we couldn’t have had more perfect weather. It was nice and cool with a cloudy sky, for if you know me, I love shooting cloudy skies. We got to explore and take pictures along the way and it was a blast. I can’t wait to shoot Jordan & Quinn’s wedding this fall!
Adventures on the Gorge Wedding Photos | Lansing, WV Photographer | Megann & Frank
Megann & Frank’s wedding day began with these two getting ready at different houses on the AOTG property. Megann got ready at the Ames House while Frank got ready in the house just next door. After getting ready, Megann & Frank decided to do a first look. Frank had the sweetest reaction to seeing his lovely bride. Following the first look we got some bride & groom portraits and wedding party portraits done before the ceremony. This ended up working out perfectly because it was one of the rare moments during the day when it wasn’t raining! The overlook also was looking fantastic with the fog going through the gorge. Next came the ceremony where a very quick ceremony came and before I knew it, these two were married and walking back up the aisle! We took some family formals following the ceremony and everyone got to enjoy cocktail hour! That’s what’s so great about first looks, you get the majority of portraits done before the ceremony so that you can relax and actually enjoy your wedding festivities! The reception began after the cocktail hour where the newlyweds entered and had their first dance. I snagged these guys before dinner to get some sunset photos which did not disappoint with Adventures on the Gorge’s great overlooks. Following dinner came the parents dances and the cake cutting. There was actually no dancing until later in the night where Megann & Frank threw a New Years Eve Party from 9pm until midnight. It was a great night for a New Years Eve Wedding.
