New River Gorge National Park Elopement Photos | Fayetteville, WV Photographer | Brooke & Thomas

Brooke & Thomas were so much fun to work with for their elopement. I got to know these two initially with their elopement consult and learned so much about them and their relationship. This amazing couple had so many adventures together and that was definitely the best way to describe their elopement. Brooke & Thomas travel to the New River Gorge National Park often and always seemed to come back to the same stunning overlook in the park. They knew that this place was where they wanted to say, “I do.” Once their special day came, it wasn’t as stress free as you may think! This same day was full of rain and Brooke and I were constantly checking the weather reports to see if we needed to change locations or not. Luckily for us, the rain passed just in time. Though to get to this overlook, you have to scale up a wall with nothing but your shoes and a rope so with the rain and mud, we made the call to change at the top of the overlook. Once we got everyone to the top, this family changed into their elopement attire and began their ceremony! These two exchanged loving vows in front of Brooke’s beautiful children as well as Thomas’ sister. This intimate elopement was nothing short of perfect. We grabbed some beautiful photos of everyone and these wonderful people went off to celebrate their new marriage!

The Gaines Estate Wedding Photos | Fayetteville, WV Photographer | Shelby & Jacob

Shelby & Jacob’s wedding day was full of happy people and beautiful moments. The day began with these two getting ready in separate rooms at the Gaines Estate. After getting ready, Jacob popped a bottle of champagne to have a drink with the guys before the ceremony. Shelby did something similar, but instead shared drinks of moonshine with her girls right before the ceremony in true West Virginia fashion. As the ceremony began, Jacob’s reaction to seeing Shelby for the first time was truly moving. Tears were shed and smiles grew as family and friends watched the ceremony take place. These two wrote their own vows for their ceremony which left everyone’s hearts melted. After reading their vows, these two exchanged rings and became married! After the ceremony came family formals, wedding party photos, and some bride & groom portraits right as the sun was setting. Next came the reception where the newlyweds danced the night away with their wonderful family and friends.

Ace Adventure Resort Elopement Photos | New River Gorge National Park Photographer | Alisa & Austin |

Alisa & Austin’s wedding day was simply amazing. These two started their day with a first look at one of my favorite overlooks in the New River Gorge National Park. Austin’s reaction to seeing Alisa was so perfect. After their first look, we grabbed some bride & groom portraits at this stunning location. Next we grabbed more wedding party photos and headed to the venue! The ceremony location was at Ace Adventure Resort’s Concho Deck Overlook which views the smallest town in West Virginia; Thurmond. At the ceremony, these two exchanged loving vows and said, “I do!” After the ceremony, we grabbed some family formal photos and headed to the Lost Paddle, Ace’s on site restaurant for the reception. The newlyweds shared a brownie cake and ate some awesome food while they celebrated with their family and friends.

Dolly Sods Engagement Photos | Davis, WV Photographer | Jen & Mark

Jen & Mark were a pleasure to work with for their engagement photos. After going through a few locations together, Jen & Mark finally decided on Dolly Sods as the place where they wanted their engagement photos taken. We started the session at the Bear Rocks Preserve where we were met with beautiful views and perfect weather. The evergreen trees surrounding the rocky cliffs were one of my favorite things about this location. We explored around, taking photos along the way and the results were amazing.
