I recently did a photo shoot with my beautiful roommate, Jolie. Since the flowers are finally blooming in Harrisonburg, we decided to take advantage of the warm weather and beautiful scenery. I’ve got a lot of questions of where this photo shoot was taken at, for example: “Where you on the quad?” or “Where you at the arboretum?” But the real answer is this: I was driving along the side of the road where I noticed all these trees in bloom with wonderful white flowers, I knew that would be a perfect scene. So Jolie and I drove over to this lot that is literally on the side of Reservoir St. The simplest places are usually the best places to shoot at! Take a risk, find a spot that speaks to you! I had the opportunity to travel to Italy with my grandparents for my spring break this past March. After a layover in Amsterdam, we finally made it to Florence where we spent our first day catching up on sleep. On our second day we took a bus to Siena, located in the scenic countryside of Italy. We got to see the Duomo di Siena, Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico, the Comune di Siena, and much more! On day 3, we were back in Florence, touring the Accademia, Duomo de Florencia, Bargello Museum, and Santa Croce Church. On day 4 we traveled via train to Rome where we immediately began exploring the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Compo de’Fiore, and the Piazza Navona. On Day 5, we explored the Vatican City, including St. Peters Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel. On day 6, we got to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum for our last day in Italy.

After planning a trip to Charlottesville, VA with my friend, Gabby, we also decided to explore the UVA grounds to do a photoshoot. The Rotunda is a well known icon for the University of Virginia campus, so naturally we had to take pictures around the Rotunda! With lots of historic imagery surrounding us, we got some awesome architecture that creates an lovely background for this portrait session.

On February 8th, I got to do a quick and fun portrait session with my roommate, Jolie (also featuring some pictures of me and Gabby). Since it was Jolie’s birthday on Friday, I HAD to do a portrait session for her. We decided to all dress alike and go downtown to take some pictures. We got some awesome pictures on some fire escape stairs as well as on some train tracks that are located on the JMU campus. It was pretty cold outside so we went to Duke Hall where we could get away from the cold and take some pictures and not freeze. Overall it was super fun and we got some great pictures and great memories as well.
